Former VMware Global Technology Executive and Veteran Healthcare CISO to Expand Cybersecurity Innovations and Accelerate Adoption of Censinet RiskOps in Healthcare

Boston, MA – September 15, 2021 – Censinet, the leading provider of healthcare IT risk solutions, today announced that Chris Logan, former Global Healthcare Executive at VMware, has joined the Company as Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer. Logan will drive further expansion of Cybersecurity innovations on Censinet RiskOps while working with the Company’s customers, partners, and industry standards groups to transform cybersecurity and risk management in the healthcare industry.

“Over the last decade, I have had the pleasure to work with Chris in his various roles as a CISO, strategic partner, and advisor,” said Ed Gaudet, CEO and Founder at Censinet. “Chris was one of the first trusted advisors I reached out to during the formation of Censinet. He not only understands our business, but Chris also brings a unique perspective and empathy as a CISO, partner, and trusted cybersecurity expert.”

Logan is an active board member for The Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security (AEHIS), serving on the Healthcare Security Leaders Planning Committee. Before VMware, he served as Chief Information Security (CISO) officer at Care New England, where he developed and managed teams and processes for information security, privacy, compliance, continuity planning, standards adoption and implementation, vendor management, and IT leadership.

Logan has been in the IT community for 25 years. His primary focus has been delivering technology leadership in both an operational and strategic capacity, spanning public and private sector organizations. He has also worked in security and technology leadership roles at Lifespan Corporation, Century Bank, and MIT. He also served in the United States Marine Corps. “Today, delivering effective patient care and ensuring continual clinical services are the critical byproducts of a resilient cybersecurity program and infrastructure, especially as attacks such as ransomware continue to threaten patient safety, data, and care delivery,” explained Chris Logan, SVP and CSO of Censinet. “Having spent more than two decades in healthcare information technology leadership roles, I believe Censinet’s mission to transform risk management and cybersecurity operations in healthcare holds the key to reducing systemic
threats and delivering on its ‘Stronger Together’ vision.”
