Professional Biographical Statement As with many of us, my experience and focus have evolved as the healthcare industry has increased in focus, need, and emerged as one of the most significant national and global economy segments. I have also participated directly in delivering information technology platforms that have replaced traditional manual and paper-based systems and helped expand patient and caregiver access to essential information housed within these systems. The role of a cybersecurity leader continues to change as what once was the coordinator of protective controls has evolved into a clinical IT leadership position involved in almost every activity within a modern digital healthcare delivery system. The interconnection and interdependency of these platforms have required continual innovation and evolution of generally accepted approaches to cybersecurity with a continually changing threat landscape that has grown at a rate far surpassing the talent development pipelines we have. Protecting our patients, caregivers, and healthcare delivery infrastructure is a passion and commitment that I am proud to be part of. Service for the good of others is a guiding principle that I try to embody with every action in my professional and personal journey. |
