AEHIS Fall Summit Offers a World Class Lineup

By Carter Groome, CEO, First Health Advisory and AEHIS Education and Events Committee Chair

The AEHIS Fall Summit comes to San Antonio on Oct 30-31. As the chair of the planning committee, I’m proud to note that the agenda, built by your peers with risk management leadership in mind, sets itself apart from other industry events.

Whether you are a CISO, a compliance director or a CIO with security responsibility, the AEHIS Summit will touch on areas that will inform and impact enterprise decisions as you guide your organization’s security and privacy strategy.

The event, just before CHIME’s Fall CIO Forum at the JW Marriott Hill Country, will showcase new insights and recognized practice in addition to forward-thinking IT leaders such as Mike Ruiz, Chief Digital Officer of Medstar Health, discussing how advances in health technology is reshaping the “Art of the Possible.”

Industry icon and active change agent, John Glaser of Cerner Corp. will share his views of how IT executives’ roles are evolving in today’s health tech environment. Additional speaking and panel topics focused on security leaders include threat prioritization, incident response strategy and effective board-level engagement.

The event will also provide ample time for you to collaborate with leadership colleagues through a team security challenge and welcome reception. The hotel is a beautiful location designed to encourage interaction and casual comfort away from the daily challenges that come with being on the front lines of protecting your organization, its data and most importantly, its patients.

I want to thank the dedicated efforts of the Education & Events Committee, in the pursuit of distinguishing the AEHIS Summit for the benefit of all AEHIS members. We look forward to seeing you in San Antonio.
